Within a clearly defined urban fabric, the house is inserted into a continuous row of existing dwellings, where the geometry of the street-facing volume is largely predetermined. The only deviation appears at ground level, where a subtle recessed gesture softens the facade and marks the entrance. In contrast, the courtyard elevation unfolds more freely. Its volumes define the main outdoor spaces of the house – a semi-atrium on the ground floor and a terrace on the upper level – as spaces of transition and negotiation between the interior and the backyard. This spatial differentiation continues inside, establishing clear hierarchies, particularly on the upper floor, where the children’s and parents’ zones are distinctly separated. At the same time, the project carefully maintains a sense of spatial continuity, without fragmenting the overall spatial experience. This continuity is enabled through external circulation and outdoor spaces, both on the level of individual floors and in section, where an external single-flight staircase links the house vertically and mediates between interior and exterior spaces.
